OPENING DAY PARADE 04/15!

Uniforms and sweatshirts will be given to the coaches at the Parade for each team. The players are encouraged to wear their uniforms (jerseys and hats) for the parade. It will be cold at 7:00 am, so they should wear their jersey’s over their sweatshirts.

Staging the parade cars/trucks will begin at 7:00am in the TTUSD District Offices parking lots at 11603 Donner Pass Road (behind the Fire Station). Players are to be dropped off with their team. The parents will need to park by the baseball fields and not in the staging area.

A map of the staging area and where all the teams are supposed to go has been attached to the emails sent from Bree Waters.

Each team be in charge of a “float”- to be organized by the coaches and parents. The “float” is usually a pickup that the kids sit in the back of. Please decorate the “floats” with your teams names and sponsors, your coaches have all of this information. Donuts and coffee will be available.We will be selling TLL Swag also!

The Parade will begin at 8:00 am, escorted by the Truckee Police Dept., Truckee Fire Dept Eng. #1 and the Grand Marshalls, Ryan and Shannon Parrish, the Title Sponsors of the League, and the owners of the Grocery Outlet. There will also be a fly-over by Care Flight.

The parade leaves the driveway west of the fire department and travels west past the hospital and will then turn around (it’s a quick parade). The parade will turn around and end up in the parking lot to the west of the new THS Gym (Between THS and Truckee Elementary). The parents are asked to line the parade route and cheer.

Following the parade there will be an Opening Day Ceremony Rally in the Truckee High School Gym. The parents are to meet inside the New THS Gym, do not pick up your children.Teams and players will be escorted to the gym and will wait outside for the ceremony to start. Each team will be announced and will enter to their walk-up song. The players will sit on the floor with their teams and all parents are to sit in the stands and cheer everyone.Opening Day activities will wrap up around 9:30am. TLL is going to be giving away the best baseball bat and glove on the market. All 405 TLL players names will be put in a hat and pulled at the Rally. The player has to be at the Rally to win the bat or the glove!
